Silsal Crafts at Ruwwad Al Tanmeya

Silsal Crafts is at the heart of Rumman’s purpose.

Established in 2006 within Ruwwad Al Tanmeya in Jabal Al Natheef, this multi-craft workshop has grown into a space of creativity, expression, and belonging.

Silsal brings together men and women with varying disabilities from Jabal Al Natheef and neighbouring communities, offering a place where their work in pottery and painting is nurtured, developed, and shared. Over time, it has become more than a workshop; it is a community. A space filled with rhythm, routine, laughter, and care.

Today, twenty-two individuals bring Silsal to life each day, each with their own story, perspective, and way of creating. Their work carries both individuality and a shared sense of presence that defines the spirit of the workshop.

Silsal’s creations are present throughout Rumman, forming an essential part of its identity. A portion of Rumman’s revenue is returned to the workshop, contributing to its continuity and supporting the people who shape it.
